A toddler is born

     When you're 2 nothing is fair, everything is yours, you're never hungry unless it has 5 gallons of sugar in it, and you are ALWAYS cute... 

     To them anyway hehe... When did this baby who was so sweet all the time, wasn't mobile, always listened, and NEVER talked back get so sassy? I swear one day a light bulb goes off and DING DING DING! Folks you have a full fledged toddler. It's a right of passage that mommies love to hate, and hate to love... You can now conversate with your tiny human and play with them. They understand you for the most part, and alas you think life is so easy now that they can tell you their belly hurts and they pooped... where?
OIY! Work... this is when the real work for us parents starts. We not only still have a tiny human that completely depends on us to survive, but one that talks back! And stomps feet, and screams, and throws... Yes, the sweet is still there... deep deep down safe for times when it is needed, but MAN! This cute toddler required 2, yes TWO photo sessions. The first time we decided to have a melt down the minute we got out of the car...

     As you can tell, we weren't going to get anywhere so I just called it quits and decided to just let it be... There's NO reasoning with a 2 year old. 

Sometimes I think to myself, WHY are these girls of mine so difficult some times? Someone once told me, 

"We want our girls to be hard headed and difficult. That means they won't take anyone's crap when they are older, and that's a good thing"!

I remind myself of this every time I hear a cry and a stomp down the hall. Even when It's myself...
